Daughter's Award Winning Drawings

Early this year, my daughter's 9th grade art teacher decided to submit her two school art works to some kind of contest. I had no idea what it was other than knowing it was a serious contest, until one day in April we received the winning notification in the mail. Needless to say we were all very thrilled, because at that time we learned that it was a national contest (Scholastic Art and Writing Award) that all the winners would have a chance to go to Carnegie Hall in June to celebrate.
Thought I'd take some celebration photos and post them here, but just realized that she couldn't go due to the conflict with her SAT subject tests, so I'd like to just share her two art works here.
The more I work on my blog, the more I value it, in a way that it could be a perfect platform as a family treasure box, not just something for myself.
Currently the art works have been framed and are on various national tours. The organization shall ship them back to us once the tours are over.
