Poem (诗歌): I Am Reborn (重生)

Under the shroud of the morning light
In a trail of baffling and fire
I opened my eyes
The moments of welling tears
Spilled the golden sunshine

In a thrust of longing for a real life
In an impulse of craving for a beautiful day
Suddenly I found my purpose
I found light and darkness
I distinguished good and evil

I sensed my destiny
I discovered my destination
I smelled the meaning of my life
All in the blink of an eye

Yes, I am reborn!

A pleasant surprise that came after the darkest days
I was reborn through lights and flames
Through smiles and tears
I rose, after I didn't fall
And I rose with renewed radiance

I once thought that special kind of love was everything
But how wrong have I been!
I have learned a lot from the crazy path
I can see better via my own heart searching

Love encompasses many kinds
I am fortunate to have possessed most of them
Wisdom has come from the ones who truly care
Guidance from those who care has made me better
And for that I am eternally grateful

Don't expect me to hate anyone
It was myself willingly to be bitten to bleed
In the pits of despair
I waited until the moment of hope
Sunshine and moonlight shall make me brightly forgetful

Despite everything, I will keep going
My spirit was tempered and only grew stronger
Now I feel I can fly freely once again
Be everything I always wanted to be
And I will let nothing to bring me down!

A haunting poem that lays bare the emotional packet that is Yuquan Chen. You give voice to the sorrow of having taken a path that was not as joyful as we thought when we began the journey.
Your optimism about a new path sustains us. I think your poem is more about a path that turned out to be wrong after having walked on it for sometime than something that was wrong to begin with. It relieves me to know others have this problem too!

A very touching poem.

Dear Sabrina,

A very good writing filled with not only beautiful words, but also intensive emotions.

It is truly an imaginative writing, a collection of your real feelings. The very first try clearly demonstrates that you have a great potential to become a good poet. The key is you have accumulated a lot of life experience, especially those described in the poem.

Thank you for sharing the life experience and learned lesions with us through such a special writing. Without long time emotion built-up, you cannot express your feelings so deep and so touching. We can sense through the poem you have a strong passion to fly free again and be reborn. Keep going, new accomplishments await you.

We are also impressed by your positive attitude. “Don't expect me to hate anyone”. No body deserves hated in the world, instead people deserve loved. The best way to get loved is to show our love, like your beautiful songs, they are somewhat a kind of love, care, understanding and forgiveness.

I love your songs, and also this poem.

Thank you,

Redondo

Yuquan:

I like the last section
"Despite everything, I will keep going
My spirit was tempered and only grew stronger
Now I feel I can fly freely once again
Be everything I always wanted to be
And I will let nothing to bring me down!"

I am glad to share with your Reborn.
And keep to think everything in positive.
You are so great.

Hi Jamie:

So nice to see you here, and knowing you listen to my singing at work makes me feel so happy.

Since English isn't my native language, I wasn't sure whether this writing sounded right to native Americans. Your comment really means a lot to me.

Thank you so much!

Hello Y,

I was listening to you sing while at work today and checked out your blog.

Your poem is deeply moving and beautiful. After reading this I am filled with emotion like you have struck a chord within my soul. I feel that I need to take some time now to read it again and again and think about the meaning.

Thank you for this.

Be well,

Jamie
